Nuts Set
![]() Should it be this hard to get a new set (20) of matching lug nuts for my Jeep? I just bought a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee and all the lug nuts are different sizes. I have to use 4 different sockets to get them all off. So I'm trying to get 20 new lug nuts that match so the car will look better and so it will make life easier for anyone who changes a tire. When I ask most of the auto parts stores near me don't have any, and the ones that do only have a few. I have a hard time beleiving that these should be so hard to come by! Are lugs nuts really completely different sizes for every car because this really seems ridiculous! Help me out here if you know about this. Who knows is right. This isn't right. All of the lugs and nuts were the same when the vehicle was new. I hate to think what else might have been done to the vehicle if the previous owner was so sloppy as to replace lugs with different sizes. It takes some serious abuse to damage lugs enough to require replacement. Correct replacement parts aren't that expensive, if you are just replacing a lug and nut. You need to have a professional check out the wheels to see what other damage may have been done to them that required replacement of lugs. The reason most auto parts stores don't have a full set of lug nuts is: That part doesn't usually require replacement and only occasionally is someone unlucky enough to lose a lug nut. |
